King Garden

Located in the Puli Township of Nantou, King Garden is a majestic European castle that adds quite another order of magnitude to your experience. The giant chessboard and the dreamy chariot in front of the castle often attract a significant number of visitors who enjoy taking pictures. Inside, pastries and snacks such as pineapple cakes and nougats are available for sale. On the second floor, there is a casino-themed restaurant where you can try the healthy hot pot loaded with a medley of local produce in a mushroom-based broth.

The chessboard plaza is no doubt the main draw of King Garden, and walking among those huge pieces gives you a feeling of being Alice in Wonderland, not to mention that the romantic chariot in the middle of the chessboard makes any princess wannabee’s heart beat faster.
