Maple Maple Café

Most afternoon tea provided in Taiwan cafes are nothing else but cake, pancake and cookie. It seems not many choices are available when looking for something salty. However, amongst the alleys behind Yongchun MRT Station, a cafe called Maple Maple Café is famed for its quiche. The shopfront in red and wooden tables and chairs at the entrance really gives an impression of a place for European drinking tea and reading newspaper in the afternoon. After getting inside, you could see the cafe only has space for about 20 customers, and the sofa area on second floor seems more comfortable. Its specialty quiche is in flavor from French region of Canada’s eastern coast. Though they are not made on order, but it is still fantastic after being reheated. The name of cafe is derived from the owner’s emphasis on using maple syrup, which is healthier and great in taste, in most desserts it serving. In summer, its fruit smoothie is just splendid. At night, you could find all kinds of drinks such as beer, cocktail and red wine in this small shop.
