Liushidanshan

During the orange daylily season from August to September each year, you can see a whole sea of orange daylilys at Liushidanshan (六十石山). When driving up to the mountain in Hualien, be mindful of the narrow and winding roads, and consider whether your vehicle is suitable for the journey.

The mountain is very comfortable, with lush greenery dotted with specks of orange. The surrounding restaurants also serve many specialty orange daylily dishes, such as cold orange daylily salad, orange daylily sausages, and orange daylily popsicles, all worth experiencing for their unique flavors and textures.
