No.50, Eluan Rd., Hengchun Township, Pingtung County 946, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
Longkeng means “Dragon Pit”. The coral stone around the shore was strong enough to withstand the erosion by the wave and the eroded part became a valley. The valley looks like a Dragon swaying his body here so we have this name. The major landscapes here are cliff collapse, reef, and valley.
There are so many precious species of plants, reptiles and birds around here, so the government established a reservation area to protect them. Please check if it is open and you have to apply first to get in. There are more than two hundred plants around here. They are all precious because they can withstand salty earth and environment. While walking in the forest, you will hear Chinese Hwamei chirping. It is just nice walking around the area. However, the distinctive shapes of rocks and exotic plants in this place make you feel like you are on an alien planet and some monster will charge out from the cave. You have to come here to feel the uniqueness of this area.
