Dagangshan Chaofeng Temple

Located in the Alian District of Kaohsiung, Dagangshan Chaofeng Temple has been standing for more than 200 years. Enshrining Guanyin as the primary deity, the temple is a well-known Buddhist mecca in southern Taiwan. As it sits on a hill at an altitude of more than 200 meters, the temple is also a perfect location to watch the sunset and night views of the city. Before dusk, you will spot many locals sitting on the swing or under the pavilion, waiting for the sun to go down.

Coral stones are surprisingly abundant on Dagangshan, and it is believed that these magical stones are the reason why Chaofeng Temple always grant worshippers’ wishes to come true. There is a viewing platform right in front of the temple, where visitors are allowed to admire the night views while being immersed in absolute serenity and tranquility.
