No.1, Sec. 2, Xinsheng S. Rd., Da’an Dist., Taipei City 106, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
Every city needs a huge greenery to salvage the citizens. Daan forest park is not as huge as the Central Park in NY, but it still does the job to be the lungs of the city. You can go there easily by taking MRT Xinyi line, there is a very modern station right inside of the park. The history can be traced back to Japanese governing period. It is one of the rare case to plan a huge park in the city. In 1980, there was a project of transforming this place to be a stadium. Thankfully, it was not done due to the protest of many people. The 25 hectares large park was full of trees, ponds, playgrounds, bicycling trails, and pavilions. It will take roughly 40 minutes to circle the park. If you are into jogging, it is ideal to change the outfit after checking in the hotel and come here to jog. There are many citizens doing sports since the dawn to the night. You can take your kids to come here and have fun on the playground, and they will forget the time for dinner. There is also a stage for music performances. The seating area can take 900 people enjoying the melody. It is a very important location for the art and music culture in Taipei.
