As the name suggests, Calligraphy Greenway is a green corridor well laid with trees on both sides, linking National Museum of Natural Science to National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. It’s an open space dedicated to arts and culture, and visitors can stroll around the grass mound on which many installation art pieces stand.
Integrated with the resources nearby, Calligraphy Greenway has now become a commercial district. You can rent a bike at Caowu Square for an adventurous journey through Lole Market, Shenji Village where organic food vendors gather, and all the way to Green Ray to enjoy some nice desserts and a cup of coffee in the converted old houses that make the quaint coffee shops today. If you fancy a bit of exotic flavor, there is an abundance of unique restaurants in this area where you can literally eat in many different countries without leaving Taichung!
Calligraphy Greenway gives you a chance to see the sparks flying between the old and new Taichung. Slow down your pace, and enjoy your surroundings.
