Lin Liu-hsin Puppet Theatre Museum was the first museum in Dadaocheng area. This is the best place if want to understand the puppet show art in Taiwan. Dihua Street used to have many puppet stores and performing group around. In order to preserve the vanishing culture, the museum was built. This art is welcomed all over the world. No matter they are performed by hands in the clothes puppet or by pulling strings. The lifeless puppets become alive with the marvelous skill of the performer, making puppets think and act. There are more than five thousand pieces of puppet show artifacts in the museum. You have to spend quite some time to finish seeing all of them. There are also masters crafting puppets on the spot, allowing you to realize how they were made. This is not something you can do with any sort of machine. Except for puppets, the real souls of them are also performing here. Performers with novice ideas create their own puppet show here to interact with the visitors. If you have a group of more than 20 people, you can apply for a guided tour and a Taiwan puppet show performance. Let’s have some fun!
