Money Coming

Money Coming is a traditional-style grocery store with an inside much like the ones that used to sell candy, cookies and drinks when you were a child. The packaging is very retro and the flavors on offer are tried and tested. With its transparent plastic barrels filled with goodies, it brings back childhood memories of when we were little, exploring the snacks in the alleys of our local village. Originally built in 1952, its beautiful decorations, such as those made from shells and broken tiles, make it an eclectic site. The interior of the shop also retains the famous idol of the frog, and the setting for shooting the famous TV series “The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog” is well preserved. Children's plastic toys, souvenirs for tourists, and even grenade shaped wine are sold here.

Money Coming has become a popular attraction in the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area (雲嘉南濱海國家風景區), partly because Beimen Church (北門教堂) has become a popular attraction for tourists wanting to take photos. It has meant that those who visit or make purchases here have become even more in recent times! Don’t miss out on this quirky little number if you are visiting Tainan.
