Green Ark

There used to hide a lush green terrace in a valley of Miaoli, whose owner didn’t want to keep this isolated wonderland to himself and would like to share it with the world. He then spent thirty years planting countless trees and building up a forest restaurant named Green Ark, welcoming curious visitors to his paradise. Very environmentally conscious, the owner believes that the natural wind in the forest is the best kind, so there is no air conditioning within. In winter, the fireplace will be burning and the cozy atmosphere will keep you warm, as if in a hunting cottage. In order to keep air pollution away from this oasis, the parking lot is a few hundred meters away from here. The daily capacity is limited to 500 people to ensure a friendly, intimate atmosphere and stress-free fun for all ages. If you are visiting on weekends, it is advised to give them a call beforehand to find out if you can still get in.

Upon leaving the parking lot, visitors will need to cross a grassy field, a forest of pine trees and a walking trail lined with cherry blossoms before arriving at Green Ark. The forest covers a vast area of 10 hectares, while the restaurant itself only accounts for 0.03 hectares. Unsurprisingly, a wealth of birds, insects, eagles, owls and squirrels live harmoniously on this perfectly balanced environment. The bell tower in the forest has been serving as a romantic backdrop for many weddings, drawing in quite a lot of couples who enjoy nature and the outdoors. As for the restaurant, the food served here is impeccable. Healthy and organic, each item on the menu will be a delight for vegetarians and veg foodies alike.
